Sharing Feltmaking
Feltmakers Ireland is on TV!
Feltmakers Ireland is an excellent organization I joined as soon as I moved to Ireland. This week, the group is featured in a segment of the RTE program Nationwide.
As an American new to Ireland, I was unfamiliar with the show. Nationwide runs on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays @ 7 PM and covers an eclectic range of interesting activities and organizations around the country.
Back in October, they filmed one of our monthly meetings when member Tamzen Lundy shared how to make a Santa bottle topper. Here's a screenshot from my computer.
In addition to the workshop, a selection of members' felted creations can be seen in the video. There is wall art, sculptures, and wearables. Can you spot the hats? If you look carefully, you can even spot me!
The Feltmakers Ireland segment on Nationwide should be available for the next 25 or so days. You should not need to download the RTE player, nor do you need to be located in Ireland. Whew!
There are three sections; The Feltmakers Ireland feature is about halfway in at 10 minutes. The third and final segment, with member Leiko Uchiyama, a Japanese feltmaker based in Ireland, is also excellent.
