Spreading the love of feltmaking at AssemblePGH's MakerDate. Winning bidder learned how to make a wet felted vessel out of Merino wool. We also worked on how to make felted balls as my student was interested in using them in her jewelry.
The Morgan Contemporary Glass Gallery has included felted teapots in its annual exhibition: Teapots!12. There are 47 artists contributing to the show. In addition to teapots made of felt, there are those made of traditional materials, such as glass, ceramics, and metals.
Fabric Marbling Class with talented Melissa DeLisio who has been marbling on fabric for over 15 years. The exciting class was at The Society of Contemporary Craft in the Strip District, Pittsburgh. Melissa demonstrated different marbling techniques and then the students marbled prepared fabrics.
