This extravagant, be-ribboned pale green hat is magically Mermaid... or unicorn. Wear it as a costume to your favorite Cosplay events or... to the shops for a Boho Romantic Look.
COLOR
• The hat is pale aqua green with scatterings of peach wool. Additionally, two kinds of iridescent fabric have been felted-in throughout the hat. The bill in the front is orange
SHAPE
• The hat is extra tall and has an exaggerated tophat shape. The earflaps come way down beyond the ears. The oversized, green and orange silk bow adorns the side of the hat like a graceful butterfly. It is handcrafted from 'nunofelted' wool on silk fabric. With nunofelting, wool fibers travel through the fabric. The wool shrinks, while the fabric does not. This causes the wonderful ruching textures.
• The hat is entirely handmade and created from ultra soft, 18-micron quality, Merino wool fiber using the technique of wet felting. This ancient and simple craft takes patience and lots of kneading to shrink the fibers into strong, flexible and warm felt. In addition to insulating, wool naturally resists water; this hat will keep you warm in chilly weather and dry in light rain.
SIZE
• The hat measures 12" / 30.5 cm in height and 12" / 30.5 cm in width.
• It is a medium to heavy thickness felt and weighs 9.9 oz. / 280 gm.
• Headsize SMALL to medium: -- 21.5" / 54.5 cm to 22" / 56 cm.
• Inside the hat, there's a blue colored grosgrain ribbon band with a drawstring casing. The hat can be made slightly smaller with drawstring.
CARE
• Felt is an eco-friendly, fiber that is water and stain resistant. Dust is not a problem - just give it a shake.
Spot clean with a damp cloth, if needed.
