Fun Hat Collages
For amusement, I started making digital collages featuring my felted headwear. After all, this was an easy way to make a 'photoshoot' to show YOU where the hats could be worn. Just imagine all the fun places you could go!
Why Collages?
Then, during the Coronavirus Lockdown of 2020, collaging became a therapeutic necessity. Many of the collages from this period were inspired by online friend Josephine Dervish's delightful Joyous Dressing challenges on Instagram.
Additionally, collage making is a way to re-purpose my hats. I certainly could never make a new hat every day to share on Instagram. Supposedly, the app rewards consistent daily posts. Between collages, new hats, behind the scenes, and more recently, videos, I have something (hopefully) of interest to share!
Collage Inspiration
While some of the collages reveal the millinery inspiration behind the hat, other collages are merely surrealistic 'what ifs' added on afterwards.
Here they are, in order of creation. The first collage is quite old, but the rest were made in 2019 and onwards. Naturally, the collages can be seen scattered thorough my Instagram account.
Oh! If you click on a collage, it should take you to the associated Hat page in my shop.
Pardon that there is a very, very long scroll - there are 50 Collages and more continue to be added over on the continuation, on THIS PAGE.
